Upgrades Explained
Here at Bitcade, we want to make sure you get the best arcade machine possible. Whether that’s with all the bells and whistles or something simple to blend in at home.
As we have so many options for you to customise your machine, we know it can be a bit confusing as to what everything does and how they differ. That’s why we’ve written this handy guide to help you understand exactly what we can offer.
We’ve also made some short videos that can help you see exactly how our upgrades differ.
Game Boards
This is the software inside your machine that holds your games. Some hold more than others and it’s up to you to decide how many you would like.
60 in 1 and 412 in 1 - Coffee/Cocktail Tables Only
Our Coffee and Cocktail tables have access to fewer games than our bigger gaming cabinets. However, they all have the classics like Donkey Kong, Frogger and Space Invaders.
Pandora Box EX
This is included, as standard, on all of our 2-player 24” and 27” cabinets. Enough to keep you occupied for a while.
Standard PC – Hyperspin
This can be included on all cabinets which are 27” and above. If you want enough games to last you a lifetime, our bigger machines can hold up to 9000 games. Hyperspin game boards are not recommended for commercial use.
Upgraded PC (SSD)
Want an SSD to play more demanding games? Then this upgrade is a must, it’ll mean faster loading times and more time playing! Hyperspin game boards are not recommended for commercial use.
Buttons
You’ll be endlessly pressing these small circles, so making sure you pick the right ones for you is very important.
Standard American Style Buttons
Essential for any custom cabinet, these tactile buttons with their satisfying clicks fill you with nostalgia.
Official Sanwa Buttons
Sanwa is an infamous Japanese manufacturer who creates the best and most iconic arcade components, if you want the same buttons as the original Japanese arcade machines, these are the buttons for you. These buttons have less travel than the Standard American Style.
Light Up Buttons
If you really want some attention and show off your machine, having your buttons illuminate the room will definitely allow you to do that.
Joysticks
Controlling your character on-screen needs to feel as natural and as easy as possible, so picking the right joystick is essential.
Standard Joysticks
Essential for any custom cabinet, these tactile buttons with their satisfying clicks fill you with nostalgia.
Official Sanwa Joysticks
These are the joysticks of choice for all competitive and serious gamers and the most popular joysticks in Japan. With their iconic spherical shape and design, you can’t go wrong with Sanwa.
4/8 Way Switchable Sticks
For ultimate control in your favorite arcade games, get switchable 4/8-way joysticks. With a simple twist, you can switch between 4-way and 8-way configurations, giving you the flexibility to play a wide range of games, from classic arcade titles to modern fighting games.
Switchable joysticks let you experience the authentic feel of the game, just the way it was meant to be played.
Light Up Joysticks
These clear, circular joysticks will emit a nostalgic, 80’s glow and really give your machine the attention it deserves.
RGB Under glow
Standing for Red, Blue and Green, these LED lights can be installed underneath your cabinet, making it the centrepiece of any room it’s in. Adding another touch of retro feel paired with a remote to select a solid colour of your choice or go through the many eye catching colour pattern cycles!
T Moulding
This is the trim that goes around your cabinet, making it look smooth and sleek.
Black/Blue
These classic and elegant colours are free and come as standard, it’s just up to you to decide which one.
Chrome
If you want a metallic looking finish that screams opulence, then the chrome finish is perfect.
Speakers
Choosing the right level of sound system for your perfect gaming experience.
Standard 12 Watt PC Speakers
These speakers are included, as standard, with all our cabinets and will give you a fantastic, noisy gaming experience.
80 Watt System with Large Sub
If you want room-filling sound, with booming bass, then our 80 Watt system and sub is the obvious choice.
Ultimarc Trackball
The Ultimarc Trackball adds a whole other way to play games in the way they were originally designed. Games like Golden Tee and Missile Command.

Coffee/Cocktail Table 4mm Polycarbonate Top
This is the standard, sturdy plastic top that covers all of our Coffee and Cocktail tables.
Coffee/Cocktail Table 4mm Toughened Glass Top
5x Stronger than regular glass, this upgraded top is very hard to scratch and mark and gives your table a premium finish.

We have an in-house team that can help you achieve your desired artwork for just £99 with unlimited revisions. Got your designer?
